Dremel 7700-01 MultiPro Cordless Tool Kit
By Greg Smith
Nov 18, 2005
The 7700-01 is an update of one of my most used Dremel tools, my
original red and black, 7.2 volt MultiPro model 770. In fact, when I
went to buy this new tool I thought I was just getting another one like
I already owned. I wanted a second unit and there was a good sale at
the local Ace store. I travel to different flying spots in different
states quite often and previously had forgotten my Dremel while hastily
packing the flight box. No more, I wanted a tool for the road and this
is the one!
The cordless MultiPro kit delivers the versatility I expect from a
Dremel with the added advantage of being cordless. It is lightweight at
only 9 ounces letting me maneuver comfortably in tight spaces. The
MultiPro 7700-01 features a ball-bearing drive shaft. No vibration! A
ball-bearing in this application is a super thing! The kit I got came
with a bunch of bits, including a high-speed cutter, cutoff wheels,
sanding discs and drums, grinding wheels, and a lot more. The
shaft-lock button and knurled collet nut make changing bits easy, no
wrench required. A three-hour battery charger and a carrying case are
included as well.
One thing I did note on this new unit is that it now has a removable
cap at the front of the unit that exposes threads for several of the
Dremel accessories.
Features:
- Lightweight (9 ounces) and compact, maneuvers comfortably in tight spaces
- Kit includes accessories, bits, battery, 3-hour charger, and carrying case.
- Ball-bearing shaft for smooth operation and minimal vibration
- Shaft-lock button and unique collet nut make changing bits easy - no wrench required
